Planned Democratic investigation is first step in Trump family corruption accusations

The conservative Supreme Court has granted Donald Trump and all future presidents immunity from prosecution for decisions made in their official capacity. In practical terms, this means that Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for acts committed while he was president.

This decision does not grant immunity to members of the Trump administration or Donald Trump’s family.

Trump’s family has been heavily involved in monetizing the federal government and the presidency for financial gain.

The Trump Justice Department will not investigate the family for potentially corrupt acts. The current Republican majority in Congress will not investigate the Trump family for possible illegal activities.

A Democratic victory in the midterm elections could change everything.

The days when the Trump family could possibly indulge in unlimited bribery and corruption will be coming to an end.

Rep. Jamie Rasin, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, signaled that Democrats would investigate the personal finances of Trump and his family if they regain the majority in the House.

On ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos asked Raskin, “We also saw the reports on the president’s stock transactions this week. If House Democrats regain control and win back the House, what will you do to examine the financial dealings of the president and his family?”
