The American people are being hit hard by Donald Trump’s war. Not only does the Pentagon want taxpayers to foot the bill for a war that two-thirds of the country does not support, but Americans also face higher prices for food, goods, gas and utilities.

PoliticusUSA tells the stories others ignore. Support us by becoming a subscriber.

Trump keeps raising prices on one side and demanding more money to pay for his war with the others.

Republicans have offered no cure or solution to alleviate the suffering of the American people.

Trump and his party have chosen to ignore the crisis, but Democrats have ideas to ease the pain.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was on Meet The Press where Kristen Welker asked him, “Let me ask you about the impact here at home, obviously in the middle, of these high gas prices. They hit a four-year high this week. Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico has called for suspending the 18-cent-per-gallon federal gas tax until prices start to come down. Is that something that Would you support in the Senate the suspension of the federal gas tax?”

Many states are discussing or, in the case of Indiana and Georgia, have already suspended their gas taxes, but the federal government has yet to do anything about it.

Sen. Adam Schiff would like to change that and force big oil companies to foot the bill.
