Chris Murphy Goes On Fox News And Clears Their Lies About ICE

For Democrats on Fox News, not only did they face ideologically opposed, and sometimes hostile, anchors and programs, but they also knew that much of the audience they were speaking to was part of their hardline Republican opposition.

All that has changed on the sidelines thanks to DDonald Trump’s second administration failed spectacularly.

Fox News is still overwhelmingly MAGA, but polls show that thanks to Trump, Republicans are losing support from independents and non-MAGA Republicans.

According to Research on the bench18-32% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents watch Fox News, so some Democrats and Democratic Party supporters watch.

The American people have turned overwhelmingly against Trump’s immigration policies, and Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) appeared on Fox News on Sunday and slammed ICE’s lies.

Host Shannon Bream played a clip of Tom Homan acting as if ICE was just rounding up criminals and asked if Democrats would be willing to force local law enforcement to cooperate.

The senator from Connecticut replied:

We continue to claim that ICE goes after dangerous people. This is not the case. RIGHT? Currently, 70% of the people they detain have absolutely no criminal record.

…

What is happening in Minnesota right now is a dystopia. ICE sends tear gas into elementary schools. These are legal residents who disappear in cars. It’s about murdering American citizens. ICE is making this country less safe, not safer. Today is an emergency. That’s why today, 60% of Americans categorically disagree with what ICE is doing, and we need to address this urgency now.

The Constitution is being abandoned by this administration as we speak, and so our goal over the next two weeks must be to reign in an illegal and immoral immigration agency in this country.

This is work we need to do over the next two weeks. Hopefully this is something that Republicans and Democrats can agree on.

Murphy was just getting started, as you can see below.
