
As we approach the end of 2025, some media outlets are choosing to focus on baiting Trump’s wrath, but in my opinion, this is a poor strategy and a poor use of limited time, as most of America has become desensitized to or ignored by the president.

In my opinion, it is more important to focus on what this administration is doing and how it is being stopped.
One of the constant stories of 2025 centers on the Trump administration ignoring the law, then getting reprimanded by the courts or forced to follow the law.
Before Trump took office, there were fears that no safeguards would hold and that this presidency would trample rights and democracy.
In some areas, notably on immigration, Trump has acted illegally and violated the rights of citizens and non-citizens, but when it comes to what the Trump administration has attempted to do by extending executive power over the government structure itself, it has largely hit a brick wall in the courts.
The courts have been a firewall against the completely savage Trump administration. The courts have done what congressional Republicans have refused to do by acting as a check on the executive branch.
It was fitting that as the year drew to a close, the courts handed Trump yet another defeat.
