Trump’s point of view is valid for his most devoted supporters, but Trump won the 2024 election thanks to the votes of non-MAGA Americans. Trump has also managed to keep non-MAGAs in his camp, mainly by implementing an agenda they essentially agree with.

The second Trump administration was characterized by the president ignoring everyone. Donald Trump will never need to run for office again, so he’s giving his supporters, and those who gave him a chance by voting for him in 2024, a chance now that he’s back in the White House.
For too long, people have wondered what will happen to Trump if Republicans abandon him. A better question is what will happen to the GOP if Republicans decide they’ve had enough of MAGA.
A party that sold out to Donald Trump could face a scenario in which the movement that Republicans all thought they would compete for suddenly becomes something that a significant number of Republicans want to break away from.
Trump is not listening to his base, and now they are showing signs of wanting to leave him.
