Democrats have changed tactics and it seems to be bearing fruit. One of the lessons that Democrats learned from 2024 are disseminated a bunch of advertisements and assuming that voters understand and obtain it is not the most effective strategy.

In 2025, with Trump in the White House, the Democrats and their progressive allies brought their message to face to face. Democrats do not only remain in blue or purple areas, they head towards some of the country’s most conservative states and districts to transmit the message that the federal government controlled by the Republicans does not work for them.
The Ro Khanna representative convey this message to one of the redest states in the country by visiting the South Carolina.
Axios reported:
The representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) Advances his tour “advantages on the billionaires” in South Carolina next week, holding the town hall in the GOP districts in the deep south.
…
Khanna will also use the trip to the Républicains Troll and will speak directly to some of their voters, including those that count on Medicaid.
Khanna will participate alongside representative Jonathan Jackson (D-ill.) During the town hall meetings in the representative of the districts of the Republicans Nancy Mace (RS.C.) and William Timmons (Rs.C.).
The Timmons district is more solidly republican, but the Democrats look at the siege of Mace.
“He who is a winning, light red district,” said Khanna. “This is exactly the type of district that we could win if we were making the effort, but it is not a gift.”
It was very nice from the Republicans to put the most important problem of the 2026 elections and perhaps in 2028 in terms of massive tax reduction for the rich who are partly paid by cuts to services for everyone.
The gap between the electorate should not be red against blue, but the billionaires compared to everyone. Many people in South Carolina will be injured by the so-called major bill, and the Democrats present themselves in the state to tell the republican voters what their representatives have done to them.
The most impactful contact that can be established with voters is contact in person, and Democrats will be in republican districts until the day of the 2026 election, spreading the message.
