The live programming of NASA, including the launches of rockets, the space walks and the views of the earth from the space, will begin to diffuse Netflix This summer.

NASA said this decision was one of its efforts to reach a world audience, according to a press release. The agency noted that the content will remain free and without advertising on the application and the NASA website, where it already has live programming.

NASA + was launched in 2023 in order to give the public easier access to space content.

“The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls us to share our history of spatial exploration with the widest possible public,” said Rebecca Sirmons, Director General of NASA +, in the press release.

NASA has not disclosed the financial details of the agreement.

The partnership occurs because there was an increase in the launches of commercial rockets, led by SpaceX by Elon Musk. SpaceX had 81 launches in the first half of 2025, according to Space Explored. He also continues to be the only American company with a certified spacecraft to bring astronauts to the international space station.

Meanwhile, NASA supported the missions in low orbit.

Netflix shares, which has more than 700 million users, is negotiated at record heights. The streaming service has increased by almost 51% since the start of the year.
