Zohran Mamdani Win shows that Democrats are ready to overturn the establishment

The national media are currently engaging in one of his favorite hobbies concerning political coverage: trying to take a local electoral result and project it nationally.

In the case of Zohran Mamdani’s victory over Andrew Cuomo in the primary Democrat mayor of New York, there is a clear lesson in the state of the Democratic Party and what their voters want, but also the New York race was an example of a model that the Democrats of the establishment continue to repeat.

Andrew Cuomo was a seriously damaged and scandal spare, which was supported by special interests and CAP money. No one seemed to be enthusiastic about the vote for Cuomo or the presence of the former governor in the race.

At only 33, Mamdani is a younger and cooler voice, with different ideas.

It is all that democratic voters have tried to tell the party they want.

Why does Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) attract such great crowds to fight against oligarchy rallies? These crowds are largely composed of democrats, and they appear because they realize that in an urgent moment like the one in which the country is currently, doing things in the old way will not cut it.

2028 will be the first presidential primary which did not include Clinton, Obama or Biden at the top of the ticket.

One of the most common declarations of the Democrats is that they want new voices and change.

The feelings of party voters are more than a reaction to Trump. It is something more visceral.

The Democrats lost the 2024 presidential election because the presentation and the message were lively. Kamala Harris brought an explosion of energy and freshness to the countryside, but in October, the same elites, council courses and party establishment had bottled it, and vice-president Harris quickly delivered the same speech of around 20 minutes after day, and the day of the election, the spark had disappeared.

New York is not representative of all the United States. It is his own unique place, so trying to project too much national lessons in the victory of Zohran Mamdani has been an effort, but since the end of the 2024 elections, Democratic supporters have clearly indicated what they want.

DNC donations are down. The DNC itself is in the midst of the agitation which saw members of the ousted democratic establishment, and a micro-version of efforts to oust the establishment take place. The DNC is not the Democratic Party. The work of the DNC is to gain elections. That’s it.

If the Democrats want to win again, they must listen to their voters. It doesn’t matter if a candidate is a moderate or progressive democrat. What matters is that the Democrat is a new face and a new voice that is ready to be daring and to fight.

The same tired tired links, whether the elite, candidates or consultants, will not.

The only lesson in Zohran Mamdani’s campaign is that the Democrats have enough of the establishment and that they want change.
