The acting classification member, representative Stephen Lynch (D-MA) of the Chamber’s supervisory committee, sent a letter to the CEO of Microsoft demanding all documents and information related to DOGE attempt to delete the National Labor Relations Board data.
The letter was sent to Microsoft because DOGE, while trying to open deadlines in the NLRB system and export data, used Microsoft’s GitHub platform to store the code that was written by a DOGE engineer, so the Democrats de la Chambre, as part of their survey, wish to access everything DOGE has stored on the Microsoft platform.
The representative Lynch wrote:
It came to my attention that Microsoft could be in possession of the only existing recordings documenting a serious case of misconduct linked to technology at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). According to recent reports from the National Radio Public Public (NPR) and denunciation disclosure obtained by Democrats on the Chamber’s Supervisory Committee and Government Reform, individuals associated with the Department of Government (DOGE) have attempted to use high level level access level to remove sensitive information – the possibility of which, including corporate secrets and details of union activities.
The denunciator also explained how responsible individuals tried to hide their activities, obstructing surveillance and protecting themselves from responsibility, including by removing the newspapers from the system and opening the doors in the NLRB case management system to send massive amounts of data outside the agency.
