There are fewer political areas in which the Trump administration has abused its power more than in immigration. Trump and his administration used the application of immigration to try to intimidate the criticisms of the administration who try to criticize them or use their official position to lead surveillance.
The mayor of Newark NJ, Ras Baraka, was acting in his official mayor as mayor when he was arrested in an ice detention center, and after having used the arrest to try to score political points on the conservative media, the administration abandoned the charges against the mayor, but Baraka now continues the officials of the Trump administration for a false arrest.

A large part of the media coverage has depicted this trial as concerning a malicious prosecution and tends to ignore that the mayor also alleges that the Trump administration falsely stopped it.
Maybe they do this because a malicious prosecution does not seem as bad as a false arrest, which is a concept that each American can understand.
The Trump administration insisted to abuse its power. They have always obtained the Immigration policy is wrongAnd prosecution as this is important because they emphasize that what the administration is doing is inappropriate and illegal.
The media refuse to discuss the reality that the Trump administration uses its power to track down its criticisms as bad guys and to criminalize dissent.
It is not a story in both sides.
Democrats tried to monitor in an ICE installation. As they are constitutionally and legally authorized to do so, they were illegally arrested by officials of Trump, who then used arrests for political purposes.
The mayor's trial concerns the abuses of power, and this is how the American people should see it.
Trump's intimidation tactics are a political responsibility that show the American people what this administration is really.
