It was just a matter of time before Joni Ernst's sarcastic dismissal of the concern of his voters that people will die if Medicaid is cut had political consequences.
Senator Ernst tries to save his headquarters by becoming full Maga and hoping that there will be no consequences.

A consequence has already returned home while the representative of the JD Scholten State (D -A) announced that he would challenge Ernst next year.
The monks register reported:
In an interview with The Monks Register, Scholten said that Ernst's comments were “instrumental for me” enough. He said he had heard of the remarks when he was on his way to the funeral.
“And just sitting there, contemplating life as you do during the funeral, I just thought that I had to do it,” he said. “And then, when she doubled on Saturday with her, I felt very disrespectful comments, I said to myself:” Ok, game. “”
Scholten first made a name for twice against the former representative Steve King. Scholten is his second mandate at Iowa State House, and he joined Nathan Sage, director of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, as announced by candidates for the Democratic appointment of the Senate in 2026 in Iowa.
Joni Ernst was expected was relatively safe for the re-election before she went to Maga's death signs last weekend.
Democrats would be wise to support the best candidate they can find against Ernst. Republicans could already face a bloodbath halfway through the room and should have to fight to keep the Senate.
Ernst’s headquarters may not have been a higher target for a democratic collection before, but it should be after the disastrous weekend she had.
