He always returns to Russia.
Signalgate is a scandal that has not disappeared. The White House has done everything imaginable to sweep it under the carpet, but the problems of scandal and national security continue to continue to appear.
At first glance, it seems that Michael Waltz, Trump National Security Advisor, will fall because he organized the famous reported cat where an Atlantic journalist was accidentally added, but buried inside The story of the New York Times was an interesting nugget:
Mr. Waltz, a traditional republican hawk who has never made the evolution of the public towards the opinions of Mr. Trump’s foreign policy that Secretary of State Marco Rubio made, argued internally for net sanctions against Russia if she does not accept a cease-fire with Ukraine. Waltz made this suggestion as recently as on Monday at a meeting with the president and the upper members of his national security team.
Until now, Mr. Trump has hesitated to take something other than symbolic measures against Russia, although he has sometimes threatened on social networks to impose sanctions and prices
Waltz seems to have mistakenly believe that when Trump said America first, he meant America would be put first.
Russia’s interests have appeared to be highlighted by the United States in the second Trump administration.
Just to be clear, Pete Hegseth, who disclosed war plans not only for the Atlantic journalist, but also for his wife and brother, always has a job. Pete Hegseth remains the Secretary of Defense, but the guy who prompted the administration to sanction Russia if they do not accept a cease-fire in Ukraine.
Waltz certainly deserves to be dismissed on signalgate, but Hegseth and all the other people involved in the cat and the flight of war plans.
It doesn’t matter who Trump replaces the waltz by because this administration does not have a coherent or coherent national security policy, but the one Trump probably chooses will probably not want to sanction Russia.
