There is something important that the American people could easily forget and it is that the Trump administration is temporary. The American people are not the only one who forgets this fact, because self-nursing dictators from around the world also seem to have forgotten that Donald Trump will one day be gone, and the strength of American democracy will be restored.

In case they need a reminder, representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) delivered one on MSNBC on Sunday while speaking of Senator Chris Van Hollen’s trip to El Salvador:
I was very proud of my friend Chris Van Hollen for what he did because he restored humanity to all this controversy that happens. And he was not afraid, or he felt a certain fear, but he advanced and he showed everyone, yes, we can get on a plane and we can go directly to the problem.
And then of course, they lied about the trip and tried to organize a false scene from Margarita there. But look, President Bukele, who declared himself a dictator and the other tyrants, dictators, autocrats of the world, must understand that the Trump administration will not last forever.
We are going to restore a strong democracy in America, and we will remember who defended democracy in America and who tried to lead us to dictatorship and autocracy. I’m glad that Chris Van Hollen has shown exactly where America is, and we are not afraid of any dictator anywhere.
The Trump administration is ugly, destructive, harmful, illegal and immoral, but it is also temporary. Manifestations across the country. Special electoral losses. The time is coming soon to make the Republicans lose power.
What the Raskin representative said was important because the Democrats will not forget when they are back to power. Democrats will not look beyond dictators around the world and those who have enabled Donald Trump.
There will be consequences for those who have tried to destroy and lead the greatest democracy in the world, and these dictators who help Trump do not escape unscathed.
