Chuck Schumer was the morning of CBS promoting his new book when he was asked about calls for him to withdraw as head of the Senate Democrats.

Schumer’s response was disturbing because she seemed deaf. It is impossible to win seats in the Senate without the support of democratic voters, and Democratic voters are the people that Schmer decided to hide when he canceled his book tour.
The reasoning does not make sense.
It will be impossible for the Democrats to win seats in the Senate if the leader of the Party Senate does not have its voters.
It is not intended to denigrate Senator Schumer, but to suggest that he must understand the situation. Senate Democrats have another chance of resisting Trump on debt. The current financing of the Government CR expires at the end of September.
Democrats need someone who will fight at each of these moments, because we are lengthening to Trump is not a winning message in the Senate races for 2026.
