The biggest history of the Democratic Party is not the fight between the Democrats of the Chamber and the Senate because this fight reflects the broader question of change in the democratic base since its return to power.
This should not have been a surprise for elected democrats that after their voters have been informed for years that Trump is a threat to democracy and all they appreciate, these voters would expect the Democrats to occupy a detention position in response to the threat.
Elected officials often do not react before seeing the changes reflected in the survey, and a new NBC News survey should bring persistent democrats to change course.
NBC News reported:
In April 2017, 59% of Democrats said they wanted Congress Democrats to compromise with Trump obtaining a consensus on legislation, 33% saying that they should stick to their positions even if it means that they cannot get things done in Washington.
Now this feeling has completely overturned. Almost two -thirds of the Democrats, 65%, say that they want the Democrats of the Congress to stick to their positions even if it may sacrifice Bipartisian progress, and only 32% want them to make legislative compromises with Trump.
Due to this lack of perceived combat, the Democratic Party approval rating fell to a record level of 27%.
The reason why the voters are so angry with the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), it is because he and those who voted with him to pass the Trump CR have shown no fight. If the Democrats of the Senate had fought like the Democrats of the Chamber, anger would have been much less.
In case elected democrats did not believe what they saw and heard, your party is angry with you and they want you to fight.
