Several readers have left comments and sent me emails asking me if I could let them know before the start of demonstrations and protests that are to come, which is an excellent idea, but the consumer press and the corporate media will not talk about the growing resistance to the Trump / Musk agenda.

Friday at noon, there will be a demonstration at Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.

The Senator’s office Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) announced that he would attend and speak to 1:15 He.

According to a press release from the Senator Van Hollen office:

The American senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD.) ARA of scientists, researchers, patients, union leaders and defenders of Lincoln Memorial to come together against the attacks by Donald Trump and Elon Musk against scientific research, such as the rescue work carried out in the National Institutes of Health, the national ocean and atmospheric administration (NOAA) and other institutions.

During the rally, Senator Van Hollen will highlight the dangerous threats to the health and safety of the Americans posed by the illegal purge of Trump and Musk of federal employees based on merit and reckless financing reductions for essential research for diseases, the development of medical treatment and climate surveillance, among others. He will also underline his commitment to fight for federal workers and scientists who do this critical work on behalf of the American people.

Bill Nye will be one of the fellows in the Stand Up for Science rally, and you can look at it below:

Senator Van Hollen was a constant presence during demonstrations with Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and many others.

Senator Bernie Sanders adopted a different approach. The Senator of the Vermont used his wide progressive audience to organize a national tour that educates and mobilizes people to fight against the oligarchy.

Here are the details of Senator Sanders’ first judgment in Wisconsin:

Friday March 7
6.30 p.m. CT Fighting Oligarchy: where we go from here with Bernie Sanders in Kenosha
Place: Uw-Parkside, by Simone Arena, 4130 Petrify Springs RD, Kenosha, Wi 53144 Information for the public: open doors to 5 p.m.. Free parking is available on site. Please note: no bags, no panels and no authorized firearms. Tickets are not necessary, but An RSVP is encouraged.

Sanders will organize three events this weekend. There will be an event on Friday evening. There will be a second event in Wisconsin on Saturday morning, and an event president of the workers of Auto United, Shawn Fain, in Warren, Michigan, on Saturday afternoon.

If you know other protests or events, or if you want to see your protest or your event included in future stories, leave a comment below or send me an email with details.

What do you think of the events of this weekend? Share your feelings in the comments below.
