Democrats are already planning to repeal Trump’s Medicaid Cups

One of the advantages of the republican decision to delay the Medicaid cuts until the elections in 2028 are that it is time for situations to change. One of the greatest changes that could be on the horizon is that democrats take control of all or part of the congress during the mid-term elections in 2026.

Medicaid cuts have been so unpopular that Democrats think they can be easily repealed.

Semafor has reported:

The Democrats of Congress are already plotting how to reverse the reductions of Medicaid of the Republicans if they take the majority of the Chamber or the Senate in 2026.

And they are particularly convinced that they will obtain the votes of the GOP they need to do so.

..

“There is a very realistic perspective that the votes to cut Medicaid prove to be some of the least popular votes in the history of the congress, and that it could be quite easy to do the repeal, once people see and understand what these madmen have done,” said Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Dr.i. said to Semaor, adding a false-republican voice: “” Get me out here! Get me out here! “”

…

Some Republicans already indicate that they are open to an intervention. Senator Josh Hawley, R-MO., Said on several occasions that he hoped to make sure “that there are no Medicaid cuts that take effect”.

At least on the side of the Senate, it seems that many Republicans consider the cuts as a budgetary gadget which was intended to make the bill on tax reductions on paper. Several Republicans of the Senate have been cited as willing to delay indefinitely or eliminate the cuts.

None of this can happen unless the Democrats take control of the Chamber, which is where the most extreme Medicaid cutters currently occupy the majority.

If the Democrats obtain the majority of the chamber, they can immediately use budgetary deadlines to require a repeal of the Medicaid cuts. Trump is trapped in his own illusion that Medicaid is not cut, and there are enough senators to kill the cuts without a democratic majority in the Senate to make them.

All that is necessary is that the Democrats have power and a seat at the table to demand the cuts.

The Republicans clearly indicated that they did not want the Medicaid cuts by the delay in the implementation.

Democrats are much better to govern than the Republicans, and at the moment, the Democrats are seeing an opening and throw the foundations to make the Medicaid cuts disappear, but to do this, they need your votes in 2026.

What do you think of the Democrats who plan to repeal the Medicaid cuts?
