Stephen Curry does not yet retire from the National Basketball Association, but he already thinks of new career paths – including broadcasting, team possession and play on the PGA Tour champions.
The star of Golden State Warriors spoke to CNBC Sport as part of “Curry inc .: The Business of Stephen Curry”, a television production focused on the career and commercial ambitions of Curry.
“Curry Inc. CNBC Sport: Stephen Curry's affairs” will be present on CNBC on Wednesday June 4 at 9 p.m. he.
Curry, 37, already has post-NBA work waiting for it. He is the CEO of thirty Ink, a mini-baked business, including unanimous media, the brand brand Brand Gentleman's Cut and the 7K marketing consulting firm. He plans to play a more central role performing the company on a daily basis when he withdraws from professional basketball, he told CNBC Sport.

However, Curry thinks beyond his business. He seeks to follow in the footsteps of Michael Jordan, who owned the Charlotte Hornets from 2010 to 2023 – the only former NBA player to have a majority participation in a team.
“He could be the only one of our generation who sat in this seat and did this in this way,” said Curry. “The idea of being part of a property group and the right opportunity that allows me to have an impact on how a franchise should be made – how you go after the victory, as we did here with the Warriors – this is something that I am delighted to continue. It is interesting. Obviously, as an active player, you cannot participate in this level until you finish.

Curry noted that he might not be able to afford a majority property with increasing NBA assessments. The average NBA team is worth $ 4.66 billion, according to official CNBC Sport assessments in 2025.
“Obviously, there are levels for that,” said Curry.
Curry is an investor in Invert, the 3-female basketball league and said it was also interesting to buy a women's team from the National Basketball Association.
Sporto appointed Curry the second most paid athlete in the world last year, earning around $ 153.8 million between salary and mentions. Forbes estimates that Jordan's net value is about $ 3.5 billion.
Curry accepted an extension of one year of $ 62.6 million with the Golden State Warriors last year, keeping it under the control of the team until 2027. He made more than $ 55 million in salary for the 2024-25 season, and he is the first player in NBA history to win $ 40 million, $ 50 million and $ 60 million in one season. He has had the highest base salary in the league since 2017.
Diffusion aspirations

Curry used his unanimous media adventure to dip a career in front of the camera. He appeared in several projects, notably the PAON SITCOM “Mr. Throwback” and the Apple TV + documentary “Stephen Curry: underestimated”.
However, he could probably earn millions by joining an NBA studio program on NBC, ESPN or Amazon Prime Video on his retirement. Curry said that he would “certainly” consider “diffusion work, although he does not rush to it.
“I would be more patient,” said Curry, who noted the former quarter of the National Football League Tom Brady moved directly to the Fox broadcast stand after retirement and his current teammate Draymond Green is an analyst of the NBA Sports TNT for years as active player.
“I think of what would be the right opportunity for me, because I do everything I do, I want to be there,” said Curry. “For the moment, simply make your homework on the different ways and options that could be available.”
Senior golf tour

Curry said he was also considering a career to play on the PGA Tour champions, the best tour for former PGA players over 50.
The concept of curry competes with the pros for the championships may seem eccentric, but it takes it seriously. It is far away – Curry is 50 years old in 13 years – but he is a golfer to scratch without devoting his life to the game.
He won the American Century 2023 championship, an annual celebrity tournament that takes place every summer in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, beating other current and former professional athletes who are better golfers. Curry pulled a last 72 round to win the tournament.
“It would be a fun objective to go afterwards,” said Curry. “It is an extremely difficult tour to crack if you are not one of the ex -champion's ex -PGAs that makes this jump after being 50 years old. So, to make all the qualification trip and all that – I'm almost sure that I will try it. I saw guys who prepare to do the same.”
