Nine Democrats in the Senate supported a cryptocurrency bill leaving the committee. Trump and the Republicans thought they had an easy victory, but the progressives of the Senate Democratic Caucar were the alarm about the crypto used as a vehicle for corruption by the president, and demanded that legislation contain more solid rules and regulations.

The Senate Democrat Manager, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), ranked on the side of progressives and forced democrats to block the bill that Trump wants.

Semafor has reported:

Nine Pro -Crypto Democratic Senators retain their votes for legislation that would create rules for stabbed – a type of crypto set for assets such as the US dollar – in the hope of convincing Republicans to strengthen the provisions of the National Security and Consumer Protection Bill.

…

Schumer worked this week to unify his caucus around demanding changes to the bill rather than let the Democrats break during the first floor. After a persistent fury of the left on his manipulation of government financing, he took a firmer hand on the crypto and openly took on the side of progressives – what can be a taste of things to come this year while the party benefits from obstruction, its last lever effect on Trump’s agenda.

Trump wants this bill. The president and his wealthy allies took advantage of various cryptographic scams since he took office.

The Democrats of the Senate find it.
