Nearly 30,000 civilians in the Sagain and Magazy of the Myanmar center were forced to flee their homes in February, residents and workers of the Hisvidants said on Friday, while the fighting between the army and the rebels have increasingly spread in the heart of the country.
Until now, the branches of the popular defense forces and ethnic rebels have largely fought junta troops in border regions distant from Myanmar.
But the rebel armies, enharmed by the success of the periphery of the country, go beyond their traditional territory and cause the junta to the junta on its lawn at home while the civil war is entering its fourth full year.
Increasingly taken in the cross -fires are civil members of the majority ethnic group of Myanmar Burman – of which nearly 30,000 fled their houses in three cantons Sagaing and Magway this month.
The military responded to the thrust of the rebels with air strikes and artillery, according to sources from the region, several of which spoke to the FRG Burma under cover of anonymity due to security problems.
In the south of the canton of Sagaing, on the border with the state of Chin, around 25,000 people are homeless after leaking the strikes of the junta, said the worker Thu Rein Zin.
“Residents take refuge in areas considered to be sheltered from junta air strikes and heavy weapon attacks,” he said. “At least 15 villages are always dangerous to come back, and residents always refer to safe places. It is estimated that the total number of displaced people is around 25,000. ”

Some of the displaced people suffer from diarrhea and skin diseases and have an urgent need for food and medication, a person in FRF told.
“With the increase in the number of displaced people, demand for food, water and medicine has increased,” he said. “The junta made air and night air strikes, as well as random artillery attacks, until [Thursday]. “”
They join what the United Nations estimates are nearly 20 million people who need humanitarian assistance through Myanmar – or just over a third of the country’s population of 55 million. The UN identifies about 3.5 million as in -house people internally, or PDI, who find it difficult to access food, shelter and medical aid.
“ Mass movement ” from the village
Meanwhile, at least 2,000 inhabitants have fled several villages in the canton of Gangaw in the Magway region, on the border with Sagaing, in the midst of the junta repeated attacks, said another worker, who refused to be appointed. At least one civilian was killed recently during an attack on the village of Gangaw Taung Khin Yan, he said.
“While the news of any bomb attacks spread, almost all residents fled to neighboring areas they believed to be sure,” said the aid worker.

Hosting around 1,000 households, Taung Khan Yan has experienced “mass trips since the incident, he added, with neighboring villages Hnan Khar and Hmawayt Lel.
“The total number of displaced people is estimated at thousands,” he said, many of whom face health problems due to a lack of clean water.
More concerned with artillery attacks
In the canton of Magway of Nga PE, which is near the site of the Arakan ethnic army, or AA, dominated the army in the west of Rakhine’s state of Myanmar, a hunter of Jeta recently bombed the village of Lin tel, killing two civilians and injuring 10 others, residents said.
A voluntary man to help PDI in the region told FRI that around 2,000 residents fled, mainly villages along the road connecting the Cantons Ann and Padan.
“The residents – especially those of the villages along the main road – fled to Padan, while others seek refuge in neighboring areas,” said the man. “They are more concerned with the artillery attacks than the direct offensives of the junta, because their villages are in the conflict zone.”
Residents of the region told RFA that the AA had attacked the JUNTA air defense unit in the village of Nat Ye Kan of Nga PE, and that the fighting is frequent along the Ann-Padan road.
RFA’s attempts to contact Myo Myint and Nyunt won AUNG – JUNTA spokesperson for the Magway and Sagaing regions – for battles updates and the situation against PDI having remained unanswered on Friday.
Thursday, the national government of national unity, or Nug, said that the Allied Forces Allied had captured a series of military posts in the center of Myanmar – including seven military camps in the Bago region, on the old main road between the old capital, Yangon, and the second largest city in Myanmar, Mandalay.
