Democrats win and just made a game-changing demand for ICE reform

Don’t look now, but House and Senate Democrats have been on a massive winning streak over the past few months. Democrats won the initial government shutdown and moved health care to the top of the national priority list, a victory that still haunts Republicans.

Democrats scored a second victory by forcing Republicans to pass four out of five funding bills but defunding the Department of Homeland Security, which houses ICE.

The reason the Republicans would agree to this was bizarre, because from the moment they agreed to the two-week CR, they put themselves in a box.

Much like the healthcare impasse that continues beneath the surface, Democrats have not relented in their demands for what they need to provide the votes needed to fund the Department of Homeland Security.

After Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries held a strategy meeting, Democrats came out united in the House and Senate on a series of demands that must be met before voting for DHS funding.

The plot twist came Wednesday, when Schumer voiced a new demand that some Democrats were already calling for, and what Democrats want is a game-changer for the American people.

Find out what this new request is below.
