The Senate Democrats marked another victory in the Bain Byrd process linked to the reconciliation bill. The Senate parliamentarian judged in their favor that a provision which would have prohibited the coverage of abortion on the ACA market is not linked to the budget and must be withdrawn from the bill.

It was a ban on abortion of the stolen door, and the Democrats of the Senate got rid of it.

The Senate Democrat, Senator Chuck Schumer, said in a statement:

The Democrats of the Senate successfully fought the ban on abortion of the stolen door of the Republicans. We fought the last decision of the Republicans in their relentless crusade to tear the health care of women, to ensure that reproduction care would continue to be covered on the ACA market – and we won. These health care decisions should be made by people with their doctors – and not politicians who have relied on the extremists. It was not only a political fight, it was a question of protecting the freedom, the dignity of women and basic health care.

According to the devastating decisions of Dobbs and the Republicans always plotting a national prohibition of abortion, this victory sends a clear message: no matter how much you try, the Democrats of the Senate are on the front line and will never stop fighting for freedom of reproduction. Not now. Never.

The ban on stolen abortion has always been part of the republican plan after having taken control of the federal government in the 2024 elections.

There was talk of Republicans modifying the ACA market to ban abortion from December 2024. The Democrats knew that it was going to happen and that they were ready.

The fact that the Republicans in the House and the Senate spoke of the reconciliation bill for eight months and still have trouble adopting anything spent a lot about their legislative and governing incompetence.

The Democrats of the Senate did a good job during the Byrd bath to do things like Protect the CFPB And Eliminate a provision that would have enabled the Trump administration to ignore the judicial orders.

However, the bill is always a disaster that awaits to unleash the American people, and no one can really push a sigh of relief until it is defeated.

What do you think of the Democrats of the Senate when you stop a prohibition on abortion of the stolen door? Share your opinion and talk to me in the comments below.
