Netflix Unwanted home page experience on Wednesday in order to facilitate the search for programs and films for its members.

The redesign of the user experience goes beyond the TV screen. Netflix also makes changes to include a vertical video flow which, according to the company, is suitable for the best experience of observation and mobile sharing. In addition, the leaders have announced that the company explores the means to integrate generative artificial intelligence into the experience in partnership with Openai.

The new features, such as more visible shortcuts to find content, will include real -time recommendations that respond to the “moods and interests of viewers in the moment,” Netflix said in a press release.

Updates will be made available worldwide for members in the coming months.

The overhaul of the Netflix user experience, which is intended to allow members to discover more content in the massive library of series and Netflix films, occurs while competition between banners remains rigid. Competing platforms like Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max and Disney The streamers portfolio seeks to increase income and profitability not only by catching new customers, but keeping them.

Netflix instituted a series of changes to your company – launching a cheaper option and supported by advertising and a repression of password sharing – after a brief period of stagnation for customer growth in 2022.

Since then, the additions of Netflix members have been increasing. Netflix said 300 million paid memberships in January, up 19 million compared to the previous quarter.

While the streamer has stopped reporting quarterly subscribers from the first quarter budget of 2025, income increased by 13% during the period.

Netflix has made various consumer experience updates in recent years, but not a major overhaul like this for some time.

Tiktok vertical style video flow will allow users to record or share clips with friends.

“We know that browsing a vertical flow on social media applications is an easy way to browse video content, and we also know that our members like to browse our clips and trailers to find their next obsession,” said Eunice Kim, Director of Netflix products, during a presentation for the media this week.

AI improvements will allow members to use specific sentences when they are looking for what they want to monitor, said Elizabeth Stone, chief director, during the presentation. These features will be fed by Openai, although the models will be trained by a Netflix team in order to adapt the needs of the members, Netflix said on Wednesday.

With the update, Netflix will put all the information that members need to make an informed choice on what to look at “before and center,” said Kim during the call with journalists.

“Our members do a lot of gymnastics for the eyes when they scroll down and right and go back and forth between the lines and the details of the title on the home page,” said Kim.
