Donald Trump avoids everything that the billionaire class cannot earn money or think that the American people do not need. For years, NPR and PBS have been in Trump’s reticle, which seems to hate the idea that educational programming is provided to the American people.

Trump is about to take his first step to undo NPR and PBS.

Punchbowl News reported:

The Trump administration will send a set of attractions to the Congress in the coming weeks that seeks to recover billions of dollars in funding for the PBS and the NPR, as well as many foreign aid programs and small federal agencies.

The management and budget office wishes to cancel $ 9.3 billion in funding already approved by the congress, according to a White House official. This includes part of the financing of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which was assigned to $ 535 million in 20125. Part of this money goes to PBS and NPR, long GOP IRE targets on their progressive programming.

It is not a progressive concept of providing free public educational television to the American people. The programming of children on PBS could not be considered “progressive”. If evening programming on PBS, which is mainly dedicated to history, science, public affairs, culture and arts, is considered to be progressive, then America has real problems.

During the hearing of the Doge subcommittee on the Cup of the NPR and the PBS, The Greg Casar representative (D-TX) said:

My republican colleagues hang out in a scapegoat. This time, it’s PBS and NPR to try to distract from the fact that Trump and Musk steal workers. Sesame Street is doing things expensive. It is. Mr. Rogers who blows taxpayers money. They are listeners like you. It’s absurd.

Total financing of public broadcasting is only a sixth, the amount that Elon Musk companies withdraw from the government each year. But you will not see Elon Musk being grilled by this committee. I saw a lot, but point my finger on Elmo to cover Elon Musk could be a new hollow.

Everything that does not benefit the rich is a target, and the American people will have to fight to protect the PBS and the NPR.

What do you think of Trump and the Republicans who try to cut PBS and the NPR? Join the discussion in the comments below.
