After more than a month of pretending the government shutdown he caused didn’t exist, Trump is now claiming the shutdown is the reason Republicans lost the election, and he’s demanding something be done about it.
Trump’s excuse ignores the fact that voters made it clear in exit polls that the economy and inflation remained the top two issues, as well as rejecting Trump’s immigration policies.
Voters are telling Trump and his party what they want them to focus on.
Instead, Trump ignored them and threw a tantrum in front of Senate Republicans.
