The reality is that since Donald Trump took control of the Republican Party, Trump’s party has shown no interest in representing the American people.
Mike Johnson likes to call what’s happening in the federal government right now “unified government.” It is an absurd term that does not represent the situation of the federal government. What the nation sees is Republican majorities in the House and Senate ceding power to Donald Trump.
While the media refuses to admit that Trump leads both majorities in Congress, Hakeem Jefries is asked questions like this on CNN: “Leader, could you specifically name a Republican that you have called in recent days and describe what that conversation was like?”
