The bed bath and beyond is back – in a way.

The bankruptcy chain is resurrected by the owners and licensees of its intellectual property, which opened the first New Bed Bath & Beyond Store in Nashville, Tennessee, Friday with potentially tens more to come.

This time, the store has a new name – Bed Bath & Beyond Home – and marks a “new start” for the beloved brand, said Amy Sullivan, CEO of The collective of the brand housethe store operator.

“We are proud to reintroduce one of the most emblematic names in retail with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, beautifully redesigned for the way families meet at home today,” Sullivan said in a press release. “With Bed Bath & Beyond Home, we deliver our mission to offer major brands, for any budget, in each room. It is a powerful addition to our wallet and a significant step in our transformation.”

In honor of the brand’s inheritance, the new store will accept the famous 20% coupon of the brand, regardless of the moment it expired.

“We encourage guests to bring their inherited bed bathing and beyond the coupons that we are going with with pleasure,” the company said in a press release. “The coupon we all know and love is back and for those who need it, a new version will wait at the door.”

The bed bath and beyond 2.0 has been several years and involved a jig of acquisitions and business rebounds. When the original bed bath and beyond bankruptcy in April 2023 following a series of fake companies, he had trouble finding a buyer and ended up liquidating and selling his activities in parts. Overstock.com then bought the brand’s intellectual property, renamed his business in Beyond Inc. and launched an online version of Bed Bath and Beyond.

What followed from there was a vertiginous range agree with companies. In the end, Beyond took a participation in Kirkland’s Inc., an interior decoration chain with around 300 stores across the United States, and gave it the exclusive license to develop and create bed baths and beyond home stores, as well as buy stores for babies.

Kirkland’s later moved to the Brand House Collective and plans to convert some of its Kirkland reception stores in addition to beds and beyond stores. The launch of Friday in Nashville is the first of the six planned for the market and, pending the results, it plans to convert around 75 additional stores until 2026.

The company said it has chosen Nashville for the launch because of its proximity to its head office, which will allow it to “manage all the details closely and establish the standard for future deployments”.

Although the recovery is exciting for fans of the Legacy brand, it is difficult for the interior decoration market. In many ways, the bankruptcy of Bed Bath & Beyond was the fault of his management team and execution errors, but he was also confronted with macro challenges, experts said at the time. The competition of players as Amazon,, WalmartHome goods and Wayfair has made more difficult for other brands to enter customer spending, and the global sector has been soft for several years due to high interest rate and slow housing market.

Even the current leaders in the interior decoration space have experienced soft trends and it is unlikely that this will change until the interest rates will drop and the housing market resume, certain analysts said.
