One of the reasons why Senator Bernie Sanders experienced a resurgence of his popularity during the second Trump administration is that he is direct and does not punch.

Senator Sanders had a lot to say about the bill that the Senate is currently debating:

Trump’s so-called “major bill” on the Senate prosecutor’s office is the most dangerous legislation in modern history in our country. It is a gift to the billionaire class while causing massive pain to working families.

If you are concerned about health care, this bill casts more than 16 million people on the health insurance they have and would devastate rural hospitals, community health centers and nursing homes by reducing Medicaid and the affordable care law of more than 1.1 Billion of dollars.

If you are concerned about the existential threat of climate change, this bill decimates our investments in energy efficiency and renewable energies while providing billions of corporate well-being to big oil and facilitating oil forest in public land.

If you are concerned about children, this bill eliminates nutritional assistance for millions of hungry children at a time when we have the highest infant poverty rate of almost all large nations on earth.

If you are concerned about education, this bill will make much more difficult for working class children to receive higher education they need to succeed in the labor market by reducing education by some $ 350 billion.

If you are concerned about our involvement in endless wars and unnecessary expenses for major defense entrepreneurs, this bill provides inflated Pentagon of an additional $ 150 billion – an increase of 15% of military spending.

If you are concerned about the national debt of 37 billions of dollars, this bill increases federal budgetary deficits by nearly 4 dollars.

Meanwhile, at a time of unprecedented inequality of wealth and income, this bill provides tax relief of $ 975 billion for the highest 1% and more than $ 900 billion for large companies that throw workers in the street and put their money in offshore tax haven like the Cayman islands.

This bill is an absolute disaster.

Any member of the Chamber or the Senate which votes for this must be defeated in the next elections.

A good number of the Republicans who support this legislation do it because they only think what Trump’s defense could cost them.

Bernie Sanders is right. Congress members who support this bill out of fear must be made to understand that Trump’s appeasement will also come with a heavy cost.

The Republicans who vote for this bill and represent the States and the Swing districts must be made to pay with their work if they put Trump before the property of the country.

Anyone who voted for this bill should be ready to lose his job next November.
