Here is why the Republicans would have a government closure

Politicususa is without advertising, without business and journalism that is not afraid to challenge power. To support our work, plan to become a subscriber.

As soon as the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), clearly said that the Democrats would vote against the Trump CR, TThe sycophanic corporate media entered overdrive, proclaiming that the Democrats would have a closure.

This has sent Senate Democrats to a Tizzy because far too many democrats, voters and elected officials, pay attention to the establishment of the media who barely hide his contempt for them, so now certain Democrats in the Senate seem to seek a way to give birth and to support Trump’s CR.

Trump’s White House seems to think that enough Senate Democrats will give them up and pass it, because the Republicans need eight Democratic senators to join them.

Politico reported:

“They will 100% swallow,” said a White House manager. “They are completely screwed up.”

Confidence is particularly remarkable since Schumer has not yet detailed his plans. Many legislators of the two parties predict privately that a kind of agreement will be concluded in which the Democrats of the Senate obtain votes of modification in exchange for the authorization of the “continuous resolution” adopted by the Chamber to progress and, finally, adopt.

If such an agreement occurs, it will be a disaster for the Democratic Party and another self-inflicted injury by loose leaders who refuse to listen to what their own voters want.

Voters want to fight.

The Democrats of the Chamber are fighting.

Some, not all, the Democrats of the Senate do not want to tortile and do nothing.

The easy place to put the blame on Chuck Schumer, but Schumer will only go where his caucus wants. If the Democrats of the Senate were unified and wanted to stop it, Schumer would accept it.

The problem is that there is a group of Senate Democrats who are terrified by a closure because they listen to corporate media, and the dominant current echoes Trump / Gop discussion.

Neera Tanden Among the Center for American Progress, send a service note indicating to the Senate Democrats that the momentum is built against Trump and that they must hold the line on the CR, otherwise they will kill what is developing in the country at the moment.

Trump thinks he will win a government closure, but he’s wrong. Just as he was wrong when he thought he would win a stop.

He didn’t do it.

The Republicans will not win this closure because they control the entire federal government, and public opinion has already turned against them on the economy.

Democrats have an easy argument to make. Voters have put the Republicans in charge and they must govern. Democrats will not govern for them. If they want democrats votes to adopt a CR, they must come to the Democrats and negotiate.

The Democrats of the Senate hold their supporters for acquired.

It is not enough to call them and tell them to vote against CR. Call them and tell them that a vote for the CR will cost them their jobs.
