Senator Bernie Sanders fought against buildings billionaire oligarchy with a National tour. Senator Sanders also took a position in favor of Ukraine. On this front, Sanders published a statement against Trump’s pro-Putine propaganda on Monday.

Senator Sanders said:
Donald Trump’s attacks on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are a gift for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump divides the Western alliance and undermines the defense of Ukraine against the invasion of Russia. His actions can prolong the war by convincing Putin that he can manipulate Trump in an agreement with the concessions that he could not win on the battlefield.
Trump is up to Vladimir Putin – So who is Putin?
Putin is a former Soviet spy who spent 16 years in the KGB, where he learned to manipulate people by playing on their ego, their greed and their fears. After the end of the Cold War, Putin was appointed head of the FSB, the Post-KGB intelligence agency in Russia. In 1999, Putin was appointed Prime Minister, who became president when former President Yeltsin resigned unexpectedly. Putin has ruled Russia since.
At the heart of Putin’s rule are two forces: corruption and violence.
As a new leader in Russia, Putin, who is now considered one of the richest people on earth, has consolidated power at home by reinstating the powerful oligarchs in Russia. He offered them a simple case: if they gave him absolute power and shared the booty, he would let them fly as much as they wanted the Russian people. The result: while the vast majority of the Russian population fights on the economic level, Putin and his oligarch colleagues have hidden billions of dollars in offshore tax havens. In the process, Putin crushed the brief movement of Russia to democracy. He eliminated his competitors, repressed freedom of expression and strangled free media. Political dissidents, investigative journalists and opposition leaders have started to go.
Today, 26 years after taking power, Putin is the absolute sovereign of Russia. The Russian elections are clearly fraudulent, with Putin lackeys barely hiding their vote. During the last dummy elections, Putin won 88% of the “vote” against candidates for the carefully projected opposition.
It is Putin’s Russia. There is no freedom of expression. The demonstrations are violently removed. Tens of thousands of people are imprisoned for having denounced his reign. The bravest and most eminent dissidents – people like Alexei Navalny, Boris Nemtsov and Sergei Magnitsky – are murdered. And billionaire oligarchs become even richer.
He is the leader that Trump defends and admires.
